my head hurts

One of the joys of video production is trying to get different programs to play nice with each other.
Every company makes their own codecs, and said codecs only work properly with their own software.
Unfortunately, no one has made software that does everything the best, so moving between applications and platforms (Mac to PC in our case) is a necessity.
There should be an easier way to do this than our original plan, but so far we’ve come very close, but no cigar.
