Breakdown

Jason, Stephen and line producer Chris Smith-Naill spent several hours today doing a breakdown of the script. What is a breakdown? That’s where you highlight all the various elements (props, costumes, stunts, etc) and get them into a database so each department can be let loose to round up needed stuff. Jason was quite shocked to discover he’d managed to add 15 pages to the script over the weekend.

While Chris was concentrating on the breakdown, Stephen put on his DP hat and began making notes about how to shoot the movie. It was a very productive meeting, though had to be ended before it was all completed so Jason could get to his nephew’s birthday party.
